LiteBot 1.0

Build AI voice & chat agents
from one dashboard

LiteBot is the brain behind VEXYL voice agents. Give each bot a prompt, a model, tools and a knowledge base, then put it on a phone line, your website or your own app. Self-host it or run it on VEXYL Cloud.

# Send a chat turn to a bot
POST /api/chat
{
  "botId": "clinic-frontdesk",
  "sessionId": "call-8841",
  "message": "Can I see Dr. Nair tomorrow?"
}

# Bot calls a tool, searches the knowledge
# base, and replies. Same bot on the phone
# line via the VEXYL Voice Gateway.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is LiteBot?

LiteBot runs many AI chat and voice bots from one server. Each bot has its own prompt, language model, tools and knowledge base, and answers over a REST and WebSocket chat API, a realtime voice WebSocket, or as the brain of phone calls handled by the VEXYL Voice Gateway.

Which language models does LiteBot support?

Groq, OpenRouter, OpenAI, Gemini through AI Studio, Gemini through Vertex AI, Sarvam and Ollama. You choose a provider and model per bot, and tenants can bring their own keys. Realtime voice bots can run on Gemini Live.

Can LiteBot run outbound call campaigns?

Yes. The auto-dialer takes a CSV of contacts, asks the VEXYL Voice Gateway to call each number with the chosen bot, tracks every call, retries no-answers and forwards results to your webhook.

What are tools in LiteBot?

Tools are small JavaScript functions a bot can call during a conversation, for example to book an appointment, look up an order, transfer the call or send a webhook. Session-end hooks run tools when a conversation finishes, such as sending a call summary.

Is LiteBot multi-tenant?

Yes. LiteBot has users, roles, permissions and tenants, with API keys per tenant, so agencies and platforms can host bots for several customers on one server.

Can I self-host LiteBot?

Yes. LiteBot ships as a single binary run under pm2 with MongoDB. You can also use it through VEXYL Cloud.
